These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SportLink website at www.sportlink-app.com, the web application at /app/, and the SportLink mobile app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or browsing the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SportLink is a sports community platform. It provides public editorial content (articles and a sports encyclopedia), a community feed, a marketplace for sports gear and services, sports job listings, a directory of athletes and institutions, and booking tools for coaches, referees, massage therapists, and sports medical providers. Some features are available only after signing in, and some only after administrative verification of your role.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account; users under the age of majority in their country must have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide at registration, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us immediately at support@sportlink-app.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Roles and verification
Professional roles — coach, referee, sports massage therapist, injury or nutrition doctor, club, academy, youth centre, gym, venue, and medical facility — require the submission of supporting documents and administrative approval before the associated features and trust badges become available. We may request additional evidence, decline an application, or withdraw a verification if information proves inaccurate or a licence expires. Verification is a good-faith review; it is not a guarantee of the quality, safety, or legality of any professional's services.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Publish illegal, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or fraudulent content.
- Impersonate another person, club, or organisation, or misrepresent your qualifications.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or spam other users.
- Upload content you do not own or have no right to use (see our Community Guidelines).
- Scrape, mass-download, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service, or interfere with its security features.
- Use the Service to sell counterfeit, stolen, prohibited, or unsafe goods, or to advertise unrelated commercial offers.
5. Your content and licence
You keep ownership of the content you publish. By posting, you grant SportLink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups or where we must keep records for legal reasons. Content you set to public may be visible to visitors who are not signed in and may be indexed by search engines.
6. Our content
The SportLink name, logo, interface, articles, sports encyclopedia entries, and code are protected by intellectual property law. You may quote or link to our articles with attribution, but you may not republish them in full or use our branding without written permission. Cover photographs in the sports encyclopedia originate from third parties under their own licences; see image credits.
7. Bookings, prices, and payments
A booking is an agreement between the user and the professional or institution, not with SportLink. Providers set their own prices, availability, and cancellation terms, and are responsible for holding any licence or insurance required in their jurisdiction. Where payment is supported, it is processed by third-party providers under their own terms; refunds and disputes are handled first between the parties, and we may assist with evidence held on the platform.
8. Marketplace and job listings
Listings and job posts are created by users. SportLink does not own, inspect, or guarantee the items or roles advertised, and is not a party to any resulting transaction or employment relationship. Verify goods, sellers, and employers before paying or sharing personal documents.
9. Advertising
Public pages of the website may display advertising, including advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are labelled and are not endorsements. Data used for advertising is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Health disclaimer
Articles, encyclopedia entries, nutrition tools, and consultations offered through the Service are for general information and do not replace diagnosis or treatment by a licensed professional. Always seek qualified medical advice before starting a training or nutrition programme, especially after an injury.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content published by users is accurate. To the extent permitted by law, SportLink is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profit, data, or opportunity arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, and we may remove content that receives a valid legal or copyright complaint. You may close your account at any time; request deletion through our contact page.
13. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We continue to develop the Service and may add, change, or withdraw features. We may also update these Terms; the current version is always published on this page with its update date, and material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply where you live. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Egypt unless local law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
