SportLink hosts content created by its members: posts, short clips, marketplace listings, job ads, profiles, and messages. These guidelines describe what belongs on the platform and how we moderate. They sit alongside our Terms of Service; breaking them can lead to content removal or loss of your account.
Post content you own
Publish only material you created yourself or have clear permission to use. Do not re-upload videos, photographs, graphics, match footage, or text taken from other websites, broadcasters, or social accounts. Copying a training article or a club's photo set and presenting it as your own is a copyright violation even when you credit the source.
If you quote someone, keep the quote short, make the source obvious, and link to it. If you use a photograph you did not take, make sure its licence allows the use and state the photographer and licence.
Respect and safety
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or attacks based on nationality, religion, gender, disability, or club allegiance. Sporting rivalry is welcome; abuse is not.
- No violent, sexual, or shocking imagery, and no content that glorifies self-harm, doping, or dangerous training practices.
- Do not publish other people's private information — phone numbers, addresses, identity documents, or medical details — without their consent.
- Take particular care with content involving minors. Only publish images of young athletes with the consent of a parent or guardian, and never include information that identifies where a child trains or studies.
Honest profiles and listings
Describe your role, qualifications, and experience accurately. Do not claim a certification you do not hold, use another coach's credentials, or present a club affiliation you no longer have. Marketplace listings must describe the real condition, price, and location of the item, and job ads must relate to a genuine opening. Counterfeit goods, prohibited items, doping products, and unlicensed medical services are not allowed.
No spam or manipulation
Do not post the same message repeatedly, create multiple accounts to promote yourself, sell engagement, or use the feed for unrelated commercial advertising. Links must lead where they say they lead.
Reporting
Every post, clip, listing, job, and profile has a report option in the app. Reports reach our moderation queue with the item attached, which is faster and more reliable than describing it by email. For copyright complaints, email legal@sportlink-app.com with the URL of the content, evidence that you own the rights, and your contact details. You can also use our contact page.
How we moderate
SportLink may remove content that breaks these guidelines or receives a valid legal or copyright complaint, and may do so without prior notice where the content is clearly harmful. Depending on severity and history, we may issue a warning, remove content, restrict features such as posting or booking, or suspend and close the account. Repeated copyright violations lead to account termination.
Appeals
If you believe content was removed in error, reply to the notification you received or email support@sportlink-app.com with the details. A second reviewer examines the case, and content is restored when the original decision cannot be supported.
Content quality and advertising
Public pages of this website carry advertising, so they must offer real value to the reader. Our editorial pages — the blog and the sports encyclopedia — are written and reviewed by our team, and user-generated sections are excluded from search indexing until they meet the same standard. Advertising never influences moderation decisions, and we do not remove lawful criticism of a club, brand, or advertiser.
